The critically acclaimed Taiwanese pianist Clarissa Wang is one of the most talented of her time, delivering performances of both exquisite intricacy and evocative dynamism. After completing her studies in piano performance and music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Wang has since performed in a wide range of distinguished music events across Vienna, Belgium, Rome, Riga, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Xiamen and more. Clarissa is active in chamber music, choir and opera accompaniment, and has collaborated with the National Concert Hall Opera Studio and Ya Yun Chamber Orchestra.
An enthusiastic music educator, Wang taught in the Hinterbruehl School in Vienna and Christian College in Taiwan.
In 2017, Clarissa founded Andante Musica in Hong Kong to create a cultural circle in Asia for classical music and provide a platform for emerging Asian musicians. Andante Musica has recently presented concerts including the young Korean musician Chi Ho Han's Piano Recital Asian Tour in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, the Diocesan Girls’ School Taiwan Concert Tour, Ping Ting piano duo in Hongkong and more, bringing new perspectives to the classical music world in Asia.
